I Keep Killing ER6is!

Bah -

I've killed my second pair of ER6i earphones, the cord always seems to break within the outer, cutting out one channel They only seem to last me 2 years.

I was considering replacing them with the Shure SE210 as they come with a 2 year warranty.

My question is : do they isolate sound as well as the Etymotics? (I like to use the flanged tips)

TIA

Irritating - my ER6i's have been fine but having recently changed to some hf2's the build quality does seem to be improved... might be worth considering if you like the Etymotics already? hf5's are the one you'd probably want (unless you want a microphone for hands free calls too?) much better sound quality than the ER6i, all around detail is vastly improved though the bass is a little light by comparison...
