VGA-VGA or VGA-HDMI

Hi, I am about to buy a new TV, it does have a VGA input but my question is this, which would I get a better/clearer picture from, VGA-VGA or VGA-HDMI?
The TV supports 1080P. Would there be any difference?
Thanks in advance,
Patrick

Re: VGA-VGA or VGA-HDMI

VGA is an analogue signal, HDMI is digital so you can't go VGA-HDMI without some electronics in the middle.

If your PC doesn't have a DVI-D (or DVI-I) output then stick with VGA.

Re: VGA-VGA or VGA-HDMI

also worth a mention is the fact that not all tvs do 1:1 pixel mapping over dvi/hdmi which will make your desktop look gash, i'd stick with vga mate if i were you. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of image you get..

btw. what tv are you getting?
