HDMI cable splitter: does this work?

If found this on ebay

I'm looking for a solution which allows my Onkyo SR606 receiver 1xHDMI out to be connector so I can split the output to 2 seperate devices (in this case plasma tv and projector). I have no need for both devices to be on at the same time, but now I always have to unplug the cables at the back of the receiver to change the output and this is kinda annoying, so I'm looking for a cheap (but good) solution.

Might do the job but probably far better going for an amplified one, do cost a bit more but no worries with quality. Depends on cable length to your projector/tv from the splitter aswell.

Re: HDMI cable splitter: does this work?

Would something like this work the other way round... ie HD and BluRay to one input on an amp or TV?

If you mean having 2/3/4 sources in and 1 out then yes, can get manual switching ones and posh ones that work from remote control!
