New HDMI extender: 24p stuttering and (sometimes) dropouts

So, after having had a lot of troubles with my previous HDMI extender from Neetcables, I bought a different one today (Marmitek). To my surprise, I immeditaly got picture when using the same CAT6 cabling that's inside my ceiling. So far so good.

Unfortunately, not all is good. When I use my Xbox360 and try to play a video (which always starts with a black screen), the Xbox360 shows a puple haze above all blacks. Video looks fine and clear, but the haze is there. When I return to the Xbox dash, everything is normal again?

Also, I noticed a LOT (and I mean a LOT) of stuttering when display 1080p/24 content, both through my Popcorn Hour and my Panasonic BluRay player. I'm using this with a new Optoma HD20 projector, so I'm not exactly sure if this 'problem' is due to the projector or the HDMI extenders. Are extenders know to introduce/augment 24p stuttering?

Anyway, I'm already kinda happy that I do get a picture, i's not perfect for now but will do for a while. Going to pick up a 10m long HDMI cable monday to check if I get the same problems with the cable (dropouts probably not, but the 24p stuttering can be checked with that to see if it's the projector or the extender right?).

Re: New HDMI extender: 24p stuttering and (sometimes) dropouts

Interested in your findings regards the 'purple haze' as I've just installed a 15m HDMI cable between one of my rooms and my Dreambox and I've got like a 'green haze' on large black sections and large white sections of the screen.

What's really weird though is that I've connected my Sky HD box over the same cable and it doesn't do the same thing.
