hdmi problems

Hi,

this is a bit of a weird one. Recently i put my laptop on my sony 52w4500.

I then put the hdmi back into the 360 afterwards. I couldnt get any sound from the xbox. no i cant get any picture or sound.

This is across all the HDMI inputs. It does work through component though....also my blueray player now only works through HDMI 3.

I tried this on the tv up-stairs and it is the same story nothing seems to be working through HDMI. I have 3 different leads....

the other odd thing is that the xbox and hdmi lead work fine on my girlfriends samsung tv at her house in uni.

what in gods name could be stopping all my HDMI inputs working on two seperate tvs in my house. As i say the HDMIs work fine at my girlfriends.

Only the blueray player and the laptop, now work on hdmi 3...and that is all they will work on. upstairs it is a similar story.

any ideas?

Re: hdmi problems

Have you tried powering the Displays off at the wall - I'd also power off all of the sources and any intermediate devices (AV Amp, Switch etc) and then start again with the Xbox.

I've seen the Xbox get in a pickle on a Sony TV if its jumps into DVI mode rather than HDMI mode.

Re: hdmi problems

Hi Joe.

I have tried doing it with everything off at the wall.

1.)the laptop works on the tv.

2.)the 360 wont work on either of my 1080p tvs (sony or toshiba) now. It will, however, work on my gf's 720p tv

3.)the blueray player no longer works on my sony tv but does on my 1080p toshiba.

i can only think that the xbox is locked in some sort of DVI mode. and perhaps that the tv itself is also in this mode across all hdmi inputs? and with only accept the laptop signal.

the laptop is and always has been going through over hdmi (3). this still works

any ideas?

much appreciated
