Need 3 new HDMI cables for my new setup...

I have just bought a Panasonic TX-P50G10 and a Pioneer BDP-LX52 to go with my PS3 and Sony HT-SF1300.

I have 3 HDMI cables but they are only cheapish ones (£15 each).

Should I consider any of the following to get the most from my setup?

QED Cable Shop HDMI to HDMI

What you have is fine , you'll see no benefit from those cables linked , you'd just be wasting your money.

For analogue cables better cables can make a difference. For digital cables there can be several benefits in quality of construction durability etc. There can also problems caused by REALLY cheap cables when pushed to their limit with 1080P and HiDef audio.

It may indeed be worth paying a little extra for quality, especially if the cable is to be buried for a wall mounted TV or for longer lengths. Personally wouldn't pay for QED HDMI cables but I would pay slightly more than the cheapest available for longer lengths.

I'm currently using these....

Belkin PURE AV AD52300b HDMI Cable HQ Braided Lead Gold: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Abit more expensive than I thought!

I just think if I've got a decent Pioneer Blu Ray player and soon to be Denon amp to go with my Panny plasma, I should do them justice with some nice cables. Maybe not then?

Re: Need 3 new HDMI cables for my new setup...

Picture over HDMI is made up of three 8 bit codes , no cable , no matter how much it costs , can change that code, it either makes it through , in which the case the cable has done all it can , or it doesn't , in which case you get dropouts , if it works , be assured its the best result you can get.

Also no source signal in existence , uses more than 75% of the bandwidth that all HDMI cables have , which is 10.2Gbps. ( the current maximum bandwidth signal would be 1080p 60hz with HD audio )

Expensive cables are a scam , they do nothing for you except lighten your pockets ,

The only case for more expensive HDMI cables is if your burying it in a wall or going really really long. In those cases you would be looking for better build construction , they will give you no picture or sound advantage.

They are already way more expensive than I'd pay for HDMI so defenitely stick with what you have. If you need any more I've paid paid about a fiver for 1-2m leads

Belkin are also generally really crap. Their cables are ok, if overpriced, but everything else they make is terrible.
