Re: HDMI switcher help

Slightly odd answer, but no, not if it is a properly constructed device, possibly yes if it is badly made.

Re: HDMI switcher help

Hello pdbmjb

A MarkTaylor says some of the very low cost 2x1 Switch units can be reverse wired and used as a 1x2 Output switch - though results can be pretty hit and miss.

A 1x2 Distribution Amp (with external power) is what HDMI.org recommend - lots of options available; Media Factory - Octava HDDA12-UK, 1x2 HDMI distribution amp.

Re: HDMI switcher help

Hi pdbmjb, I recently borrowed one of these off a friend and it seems to work really well, not a switch but will output to 2 devices.

Neet® - 2 Way HDMI SPLITTER BOX 1x2 Port - Active: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Hope that helps

Re: HDMI switcher help

My mate tried the slx switcher in reverse and it worked,he didnt need a switcher with built in amplifier as his projector is the same end of the room as his tv and sky hd box.
Thanks again for all your replies.
