Another Splitter Problem!

Hi Guys,
I bought a 4 way Cablesson Spltter from UKHDMI a week a go to run my Sky HD to 3 HDTV's. To keep it short I get picture but no sound when I introduce the splitter into the equation. I am getting no where with UKHDMI support and I also tested it with my PS3, which it sending picture and audio. Can anyone point me to a 4 way splitter they have used with the new Samsung HD box that works?
Thanks in advance
Andy

Re: Another Splitter Problem!

What are the audio settings on the Sky box set to?

We have a 1x4 splitter model that we have never had a return of:
HDMI Splitter 1x4 Amplified - Pro-2

It is very popular amongst pro-installers also.

Re: Another Splitter Problem!

Thanks for the reply, I was also now considering a unit with 3 in and 4 out so that i use the PS3 on each tv. Tested the PS3 remote and the wireless work great. Can i do this and still split the Sky HD to all tvs? Is this now a Switch / splitter I need ( Matrix )??

Re: Another Splitter Problem!

Hello mcma1

Where you have a mix of sources plus multiple displays and want the ability to view any mix of source/display you will require a Matrix.

You need to plan out how you control the Matrix from each location plus control the Sources from each location and (the tricky one) how to avoid remote wars around the house when two folk want to control the one Source

As you have seen already splitting an HDMI signal to multiple displays is not always plain sailing.
