FXHD becomes a simulcast of FX Fri 24th Apr

First 2 eps of NCIS series 6 (8:00 - 10:00) and first ep of Dexter series 3 (10:00 - 11:00) on Fri 24 April. Obviously as a simulcast they will contain adverts, but still

NO FXHD is possibly the best channel at the moment and the lack of adverts is part of it being so great!!

Mixed thoughts.

Simulcast means easier to find HD showings; quicker to air broadcasts; upscaled SD material.

But the lack of adverts on the current channel is fantastic, and also what about shows not yet shown in HD that were promised e.g. Life?

Ditto.

PAY telly with no adverts is the ultimate experience in broadcast TV, the small taster FXHD provided was very welcome despite the extensive use of a PVR to minimise advert disruption.
With the ending of The Border and Generation Kill there is only The Listener on my watchlist atm, the channels needs some content I haven't already seen.

I suppose it depends on your taste and how you source your TV, but for me FXHD will give me:

Dexter S3
Re-genesis S2 climax and S3
True Blood is supposed to start soon.

Seen 'em and loved 'em where as Listener, Border and Generation Kill were all new to me. Not criticising the new content but like many channels long delays between the US and UK screening can only damage the audience although a PAY channel should regard that as a minor issue.

Fair point. Glad to here they are good.

Though from a personal level I have loads of stuff to watch at anyone time therefore the 'delays' don't bother me.

Also I prefer to wait and watch programmes on my main TV in HD and surround sound. Though I suppose its possible to get stuff from other sources in the same quality etc.
