WWE Wrestling on Sky HD

Getting Sky HD soon and I'm fairly into wrestling. Who watches the HD broadcasts of WWE programming? What do you think of it?

If you're not a fan of men in tights how's the quality at least?

You don't have to be a fan of men in tights, as fans of women with silicon will attest.

The PQ is excellent for all WWE HD productions. Like a lot of American sport, the image is really clean, vibrant and full of detail. Very rarely you'll see some 60Hz artefacts, but nothing distracting.

It's just a shame Trish and Stacy left before the UK went HD.

Re: WWE Wrestling on Sky HD

The WWE coverage, in terms of PQ, is stunning. Seems like the US broadcasts have that certain je ne sais quoi as the American Football is simply amazing too. Check out some of the play off games currently running on SkySports HD as the PQ is amongst the best I have seen for live sport, better than the Premiership football I would say.

Re: WWE Wrestling on Sky HD

Sounds good. I heard all the Sky Box Office wrestling events are available in HD now too. Looks like I will order Royal Rumble, the night after my Sky HD is installed.

Trish was back for a one time apperance the other week. Did you catch her in HD? lol

Re: WWE Wrestling on Sky HD

I used to find the RAW/Smackdown SD broadcasts wernt too bad either to be honest. Just sometimes on the free PPV's and one or two of the paid PPV's as well they seem to give Sky the crap feed and it was a little fuzzy. So far I've had two HD PPV's and watched a couple of RAW's in HD and have to say I've been very very happy....just a shame I no longer user my PJ as the bulb blew a while ago....lol...£400 to replace (and insure for a full year) or buy a full HD )PJ......if I can clear my credit cards enough over the next 6 months, I think it might be a new PJ

I have to agree, WWE is one of the best examples of HD - it's a shame its not in DD5.1.

Re: WWE Wrestling on Sky HD

Just to update..I had Sky HD installed on Saturday (Amstrad box). Watched the Royal Rumble on SBO HD last night and it was really excellent quality, made lots of difference. Very impressed The recording lasts a while too.

WWE HD coverage is definitely the best I've seen thus far.
