Film quality looked great for a 1982 film, sharp, good colour, made the old makeup effects a bit visable, but very clean transfer!

Re: Rocky 3 sky1 hd.

Even Sly himself admits #5 was a mistake.

The only good thing about the movie is the streel brawl at the end between Rocky and Tommy the Gunn ... now that is

I will record the movie and just watch that scene ... in HD

Re: Rocky 3 sky1 hd.

It looked awful for HD, but I guess we have to remeber there was no HD back then so its not genuine HD.

That is not usually an issue though - there are many older films all cleaned up and made to look stunning in HD.

Rocky 3 & 4 (which are not available on HD DVD or Blu ray dvd) just looked like "upscaled" versions to me.

Lets hope they get treated to a decent bluray transfer at some point in the future.
