Re: sky movies

Box Offfice had it, but not in HD.

I don't think Sky will show it unless they can get an HD master, and I think they have had trouble getting the rights to it. Maybe now the format war is over it will be possible, but as Transformers was a System Killer for HD-DVD I think that was the issue.

Re: sky movies

Just wondering why your title read Sky Movies as oppossed to Transformers in HD? or something like that.

Re: sky movies

It was the one title that HD-DVD had that everyone wanted, and some people didn't buy Blu-ray players, (therfore it was a System Killer) because they couldn't watch Transformers, so instead got HD-DVD. If you ignore any other factors such as price.
It was HD-DVDs version of Halo for the Xbox, people got an Xbox for Halo which made it the Xbox's Killer App, people got HD-DVD for Transformers.

Obviously not enough people to make a difference to the format war.

Re: sky movies

I thought you meant the other way round, Transformers killed HD-DVD. If that was the case I would've not agreed. Thanks for your explaination.
