Simpsons Movie HD

Just finsihed watching a recorded Smokin' Aces in HD and thought I would chek out the end of the simpsons.
I own it on BRd and had a quick look at it on Sky-Anytime and they both look good (the BRD beats it hands down).
What I just saw on Sky Prem HD was upscaled SD 100% the anytime transfer I just A-B'd showed this further.
What is going on at Sky of late ?

Re: Simpsons Movie HD

It's hard to imagine a simplistic animated movie could look any better even with a higher bitrate given diminishing returns but I'll accept the opinion of your eyes

Yeah the quality of the Premiere HD broadcast was mentioned in another thread, can't remember which part of AVF, the new structure is confusing but it certainly looked like a SD upscale.

Of course if no one actually complains then who is to say that SKY are even aware the wrong button has been pressed or wrong master used?

Re: Simpsons Movie HD

The Anytime version is spot on, so much so given the content I can't imagine Blu-ray looking better expect perhaps pushing the display size into 100" projection area

If SKY Premiere HD has been showing upscaled HD all week when they have a HD master then someone should get a slapping or perhaps ask why anyone at the playout monitors haven't noticed or SKY informed of the issue.

Re: Simpsons Movie HD

Theres a quality issue with most things on HD movie channels but the certain sky lovers come on and just try blaming the quality it was made in. Maybe the sky lovers will admit there is a quality problem now.
