The Tudors

This Friday the second series of 'The Tudors' starts on BBC HD. Was the first series ever shown in HD?

Re: The Tudors

Same here, with the BBC not willing to announce even a provisional schedule I wasn't willing to wait and yep the second season was as good despite feeling a little lighter and perhaps a little reduction in budget.

The only problem I have with the show is how many times Carry On Henry pops into my mind whilst watching it

Re: The Tudors

Showtime orders fourth and final season of The Tudors

Showtime has renewed the "The Tudors," but the pick-up comes with a catch -- The show's fourth season will also be its last. On Monday (April 13), Showtime ordered a 10-episode fourth season of the period drama, with new episodes set to premiere in 2010. The fourth season will focus on Henry VIII's relationship with wives Catherine Howard and Catherine Parr, as well as his descent into madness. That will bring the monarch's story to a close and will also bring the series to an end.
