Snow falling on Cedars

Watched my recording of this last night and thought it excellent.Set in fishing town in Washington State in the early years after the war and prejudice against the local Japanese-Americans rife, a murder is suspected of having taken place and the past lives of those involved in the trial is shown through flashbacks. A bitter sweet love story is at the centre of events.
If you like easy to follow action movies forget about it but if you demand a little depth to your plots then this is for you.Well worth watching....in fact one of the most enjoyable films I've seen in a long time.Highly recommended

Re: Snow falling on Cedars

Excellent film. I watched it a few years ago on Sky Movies, before HD. I remember the next morning Terry Wogan mentioned that he saw it too and what a good film it was!!
