Titanic sets sail at 18:30

Really anticipating good things from this one. I'm sure the PQ and sound could be fantastic on a film such as this one ..... so, will it be an Oscar winning blockbuster or will it sink without trace?

Only around twenty minutes to go, set your planner and I'm surprised it hasn't appeared on Anytime yet ....

Re: Titanic sets sail at 18:30

Supposedly the new master looks really good (been on TNT-HD in the States but ruined by popups and advert breaks). I'm wary of the bitrate but guess we'll find out shortly...

Mine isn't jerky, although the PQ seems to be a touch inconsistent. Hopefully it will settle down for the rest of the film ....

Re: Titanic sets sail at 18:30

Mines also jerky, i paused it for 30sec then resumed and seems to have cured it, maybe it acted like a buffer

Ok now 20.00 and it has no sound? flicked over and now its back?

Re: Titanic sets sail at 18:30

Hmmm, not that impressed at all with the PQ. Apart from the judder and jerkiness it seems a bit soft and you can definitely see some pixelation during the underwater shots. Not good at all IMO.

Had a look at the SD offering and that seemed pretty poor too at the side of the Judy Dench film which was on Prem +1. Compared the HD version with Casino Royale which I'd recorded earlier and CR was way superior.

Re: Titanic sets sail at 18:30

Watched the whole film - no judder or pixilation as far as I could see. Seemed great.

Re: Titanic sets sail at 18:30

It did skip every so often for the first hour or so (which was disappointing) but the PQ was pretty good I reckon.
