Sky HD

Does anyone have it and how good are the programmes in HD? I saw an example of Sky 1 in HD and to be honest, it looked a bit gash, hadn't been upscaled etc.

Any comments?

Re: Sky HD

What time was this episode on and did it have the SKY1HD onscreen DOG?

Some of the HD channels combine native HD with upscaled HD while others are fulltime HD so it's quite possible to be watching upscaled HD which while should be better than the STB or TV upscaling SD it isn't really HD.

Re: Sky HD

Yes, if it has 'sky onehd' then it's high def, if it just shows 'sky one' as a logo, then it's sd. Some stuff looks great, and some looks too soft and a little indistinct IMO. Sky movies, sports, (when in hd obviously) and sky one are the best examples. To see how bad it can be, and not even as good as my onboard freeview, just watch robin hood, or hotel babylon on the bbc hd channel. pathetic- no, not the shows, the picture.
