Let's just hope that Sky don't pull a BBC HD and claim that Dropping Bitrates will Improve Picture Quality.

Re: Matrix on Sky

I've been looking forward to this one for weeks. I have this on ordinary DVD and it looks (and sounds) fantastic. Let's hope that the HD broadcast lives up to expectations

Re: Matrix on Sky

The pq was ordinary at best. 7% on the planner! thought it would take about 12

Re: Matrix on Sky

I thought it looked good. Not significantly better than the SD DVD but there was a definite improvement in PQ.

Agree with that. It's a very 'green' looking film at the best of times and while sometimes it looked quite ordinary, other times there was superb detail in the background. Nice to note no sound drop outs on 5.1 too.

The sound is very good.

The picture is nothing special, atleast it isn't bad, but not as good as I was expecting, fair few tears and white dots.

You have to give credit to the special effects, they still hold up today, well most of them do.
