No more than they deserved, and were more or less relying on other results to go for them in order to qualify.

I personally though the HD Quality looked poor during the match. The in-studio coverage was good.

I suppose several factors could throw off the impression of poor quality, such as the state of the pitch, the rain, the overall level of colour intensity, oh and not forgetting, Englands performance

I also wasn't that impressed with the HD coverage when they interviewed McClaren he was out of focus and the background was pin sharp! I realise the conditions were difficult and the studio shots were indeed excellent. The coverage like the england performance could have been be a lot better. I applaud the BBC for showing this in HD however lets have more.....please

I aslo noticed the PQ wasn't up to the usual BBC HD standard, some camera angles looked like they were in SD (and I don't mean the touchline replay cameras).
