Re: Star Wars: Episode I: ITV hd

aye, I'm guessing as before its just a SD of the film being shown on the HD channel because its probably on the SD channel as well.

Or do they state it is definitely showing in HD as well as being on the HD channel?

ITV HD only comes on air if it's an HD programme.

Yep, the trailer on at the weekend says 'for the first time' all 6 films

I remember the last showing of the first 5 on SkyHD, looked great, but we cannot record off ITVHD and no 5.1 as they do not transmit 5.1.

At least it is something, hopefully it will kick Sky into showing these also in the not too distant future

Re: Star Wars: Episode I: ITV hd

....but I assume as always with ITV HD it will be incorrect aspect ratio and no 5.1 !....so in the case of this movie which in 2:35:1 and an excellent soundtrack its pointless (quality of the film aside !)

Re: Star Wars: Episode I: ITV hd

my htpc will be able to record this, so might set it up, but at wrong aspect ratio and non 5.1 not sure i'll watch it, would put on the dvd before doing that

Re: Star Wars: Episode I: ITV hd

unless they're going to suprise us with this film and do 5.1 and 2:35:1, then I might take a quick look to see what its like, but otherwise I don't think I'll waste the HDD space !!

For those that haven't seen them all on Sky.

HD, 5.1 and no adverts or DOG - glad I recorded them off Sky when they were on.

Wish Lucas would hurry up and release them on Blu-Ray - they take up a large chunk of the Sky HDD.

Would be a surefire xmas best seller, but maybe xmas 2010. It took him quite a while to put episodes IV to VI onto dvd, i seem to recall. Some guff about wanting to have lots of extra material for them, i seem to recall.
