Mtv n hd

Whats with this channel ? Doesn't seem to mirror the SD MTV channel and is repetitive day in day out, limited and very recycled material. There isn't even any airing of the MTV VMA in HD which really ticks me off

Re: Mtv n hd

Yes, MTV 'HD' is one of the worst (if not THE worst) of the HD channels. IMO. Never seems to have much at all that is actually in HD when I flick through it and the few things I have found were just complete rubbish.

The VMA was great this year, wish it was in HD!

Totally agree on both counts. Russell Brand was on form too. I have never been a particular fan of his but didn't skip any of the interludes:

"Instead of people dying on the streets, we have free healthcare !" Instant Classic

Yeah he was great! Cracks me up how he gets away with it, followed by the camera shots of the audience and you get the impression they have no idea what he’s implying!

The MJ 'This is it' clip at the end looked fantastic! Wish he didn't pass and would of loved to have seen him irl performing them classics!

Re: Mtv n hd

This channel drives me mad. Its meant to be an HD channel yet most things are SD. They have nickelodeon stuff on for the Kids at weekends yet all the stuffs in SD, so why the hell have they got Nickelodeon on??? Couldnt they just show that on Nickelodean SD???

All the HD music stuff that is on is repeated far too much.

The manics gig at MTV exit looked excellent though the other night.

Re: Mtv n hd

The channel is worth it alone for the show "Uncompressed". Just skip through the music videos in it and watch the presenter in beautiful HD glory. I think i'm in love!

The MJ trailer was very catchy and should be generating considerable hype- mainly for MJ fans probably though.

It can be found here:

Michael Jackson's This Is It | Official Movie Site and Trailer

A lot of fast editing in the trailer without much dancing, it brilliantly pulls the wool over your eyes admittedly . I was a big MJ fan and his anticipated O2 shows had rekindled my interest. Even before his passing I was relishing an O2 concert to eventually be released on Blu Ray to see MJ perform in glorious HD audio as well as video. And lots of informal footage of him performing is probably going to make it feel more like a very personal insight, something that tends to be lacking in most concert video productions.

I think this film is certain to be released on BD before Xmas and I hope it lives up to my expectation ie. I hope it truly does his talent justice. I will be seeing it on the big screen first.

Re: Mtv n hd

You need to pick content 'a la carte' on this channel, my favourite is the VH1 Honours/Tribute to The Who. A must see if it comes on again.
