As this affects more than just the BBC, I need to find out if other folks are having problems too.
I have a Panasonic 42" S10 Viera with Humax Foxsat HDR, Mark Grant G1080 cable.
On ITV HD I have noticed marked flicker on vertical pans e.g. Back to the Future III (scene where Marty falls down the hill after being chased by the bear), Last night's Miss Marple had a vertical pan, again same flicker; sorry I cant be more precise - the eagle eyed of you may have seen what I am talking about!
BBC HD - on programmes such as Coast, Three Men in More than One Boat, there was acute flicker when even modest motion was involved, this has improved to where the flicker is quite low level on motion in the main.
ITV HD Billy Connolly's Journey to the Edge of the World has some flicker in such shots too!
Lost Land of the Volcano : evident in some aerial shots, a low level flicker as the terrain is being surveyed.
I'd like to know if other forum members are seeing this problem. Is this "normal" for current HD broadcasting e.g. with the bit rates being used?
Or is there a flaw in the picture processing used within my TV??
