Red Dwarf HD EXCLUSIVE on Sky Anytime, nice!
Quite surprised to see this when i flicked my Anytime on this afo. Quality is excellent and nice to see the old familiar faces
Funny as it's promoted as being on Dave, but Sky seem to have bagged an HD copy - nice one. Lovely colour and deep deep black, awesome stuff.
Anyone else seen it? (who remembers it that is )

Not seen it yet. But do remember seeing the previews for it on Dave this week and it had the HD logo on the Stag's head, so was hopefull.

SKY have contracts with certain channels to present their content via Anytime, not every channel or rights holder agrees hence the much smaller range of channels on this service compared to the regular EPG.
Pity the writing was utter junk

Yes, appropriately enough, it seems to be Backwards doesn't it !
Normally you expect to see a premier in good PQ (possibly HD) without on screen logos or adverts ... followed months later by a repeat on a "subsidiary" channel (like Dave) with poor PQ, DOGs and ads. This has been the opposite.
I watched it back in April. I remember quite enjoying it ... but it was broken into three (four ?) episodes with at least one ad break in each. I will certainly be watching the 70 minute HD version on Anytime.
Regards

but the HD quality was stunning in some places.
Being able to read the various signs, labels, badges, books etc....
I know, I know, you are meant to be watching the film, but given the plot was so poor, then reading the background objects was more entertaining.

Re: Red Dwarf HD EXCLUSIVE on Sky Anytime, nice!
tbh, I thought the storyline was better than that of the last couple of series. For me it's never been the same since the end of season two anyhow, but I did like 3, part of 5 and a few episodes of 6.
I figured this was a test to see if there was enough viewership still left for Dave to comission a whole new series....
