The Big Country - Don't Panic...

...the white dot is on the print, it's not a dead group of pixels.

It's actually a very old looking print all 'round, scratched, uneven, flickery, gate weave, in fact it's a cornucopia of film-based issues. Not particularly sharp or detailed either, although it is fun spotting the ranges of pylons along the horizon in some shots.

It's not the best example of HD is it

I had a glance at the Anytime version and I nearly spat my coffee out at the opening minutes. It was in "postage stamp" format and very washed-out in colour ... but it turned out that this was a deliberate effect for the title sequence - phew !
