NLCS / ALCS and World Series on Sky Sports?

Does anyone know if the MLB NLCS,ALCS and World Series will be taken by Sky Sports this year, or do you think I'll have to take an ESPN subscription out?

You'll need an ESPN sub as they're on ESPN America again this year. I'd imagine any late night games (after 12pm-ish UK time) will also be shown on the ESPN HD channel.

Re: NLCS / ALCS and World Series on Sky Sports?

Thanks, that's the reply I thought I'd get. I'm also a motorsport fan so hopefully ESPN will get LIVE DTM in time for Brands Hatch round in September and just in time for the NLCS too.
At the moment I'm moving my dish round to Astra @ 19.2 for live coverage, but unfortunately my German is non existent. ESPN's delayed coverage starting this weekend just isn't the same to me.

Re: NLCS / ALCS and World Series on Sky Sports?

The MLB looks good on ESPN HD (widescreen from an HD source and much better resolution).

But be warned none of it has been in HD on ESPN HD. In fact nothing at all on ESPN HD has as yet (the EPL tomorrow is the first thing so billed).

We can hope for HD for this years play offs and world series but either way the coverage on ESPN HD has been already the best ever PQ on UK TV for live MLB. HD would be even better, of course. And with such a prestige event ESPN may well go out of its way to put it on in HD.

The World Series in HD sounds great. It would be the icing on the cake to see the Cardinals win again!!!
I think it was on ITV that I saw my first World Series way back in '87. I remember, 'MARRS' were Number 1 in the Singles Chart with 'Pump Up The Volume'. There has been some real 'Fall Classics' since.
