Re: england game in hd?

It's cool watching internationals on regular ITV. The shoddy picture gives it the feel of those halcyon days back in the 80s and 90s when it felt a bit of a novelty to watch internationals on TV, and you actually had some belief England were going to win something worthwhile pretty soon.

Re: england game in hd?

It isn't like Holland are a big club or anything lol so they didn't want to give it us in hd.

not much they can do if it's not filmed by the HB in HD as far as I'm aware Sport 1 are the only Dutch broadcaster with an HD service and they are not showing tonight's game.

Even Eredivisie Live which shows all the league games (with Gary Lineker as a pundit!) is not HD yet.

What????

I'm not sure if this is serious or a brilliant piece of satire!

If you're serious you think that ITV only show football in HD just to satisfy the couple of million or so (at most) that have HD!

ITV did not 'choose' to show this in SD over HD they only had an SD feed provided by the Dutch broadcaster. I doubt any tv company be it the BBC/SKY/ESPN would (assuming they would be allowed to) send over an entire OB crew to cover this just so they can show it in HD!

They have around 5 HD channels in The Netherlands including Ned 1. I am not sure who is covering this match over there.
