Wonder Boys on BBC HD

I caught about half an hour of this Michael Douglas as college professor movie, on BBC HD recently. Not a bad HD picture though it had the feel of what HD would have looked like on a CRT TV set if they had managed to get it to show HD, I would expect the Blu-Ray disc (as yet un-announced) to be better quality with more natural film-stock grain than the BBC HD picture, which seemd to have eliminated the grain altogether. At least it was shown at the correct aspect ratio (2.35:1 i.e. with black bars).
