Glastonbury HD coverage

Watching on a Humax HDR, with audio via optical to my AV AMP.

My question is what audio settings are peeps using?

I find the stage performances are better set to Stereo, whereas the "in-studio" sound bites are better in PLII.

Neither sound as good as the "Little bit Later" clips which default to DD on my amp.

For example Neil Young's vocal were very quiet when set to PLII, but clearer and more central when stereo output was selected.

Any other opinions........................

btw nice to enjoy it from the comfort of my arm-chair, with both toilet facilities and chilled cider within easy reach......Ghost-town was electric.

Re: Glastonbury HD coverage

Bit pants really, when the EPG said DD and it was just in BSS.

Ah well, that's the BBC we all know and love...

LOL. Well you can't fault the visual content (apart from those flags, but that's another rant.. ) but it would be nice to have the full Dobbly 51, especially in light of the information you have provided.

Re: Glastonbury HD coverage

I thought the sound was crap on the stage sets,it sounded just like there was a pair of curtains in front of my speakers.

The sound on the sets they did from the glade were really good so why not from the main stage.

I totally agree, and the fact that the BBC output was only stereo and not DD5.1 as indicated in the epg was the reason for that. Worst sound I've heard on BBC HD ever!
