Agreed...

She should put some clothes on and act her age, was bad enough Cher doing it. At least she had the common decency to film it in SD and save us from her gnarly wrinkles and veiny arms

I stayed for 8 minutes, when the first set of ads kicked in, couldn't be rsd to watch if they're gonna stick ads in all the way through.

Re: Sky1 HD Madonna Gig July 4th

I think Sky threw every last drop of bandwidth at this, because it looked absolutely amazing. All those flashing lights, tiny detail, saturated colours and not a sign of any compression artefacts. Really spectacular, even though I can't stand mutton-dressed-as-lamb (or miming).

Re: Sky1 HD Madonna Gig July 4th

Agreed it did look good, but as has previously been mentioned the commercial breaks killed the show. The constant interuptions made the whole show completly lose its momentum (for me anyway)

My daughter watched it this morning and even forwarding through the breaks it still spoiled it somewhat. I think a concert should be broadcast without interuption (OK so this wouldn't happen on Sky1 which is a shame).

Re: Sky1 HD Madonna Gig July 4th

I recorded it and watched it today. I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed it, with 5.1 sound, and will be keeping it to watch again.

Having been priveleged to see her her live once I reckon she always does a good show.

Re: Sky1 HD Madonna Gig July 4th

im not easily impressed but this show was dazzling, especially in hd and full surround cranked...and she has tastefully remixed all her old stuff.

watched it on anytime just now...mesmerising..and im not that into madonna!

watched shine a light by the stones as well recently and that was great as well!

Re: Sky1 HD Madonna Gig July 4th

The show itself was ok - am a huge madonna fan, but not the best to show in HD, however, the ad breaks were just unforgivable, there is no point in doing this - they don't show ads during a movie so why during a concert? I know, cost, blah, but it's not worth it, it really spoils it.

Re: Sky1 HD Madonna Gig July 4th

Watching it on Anytime now and she is playing "Miles Away" and she has just said she wrote the song for that country.

Can I take a wild guess and say she says that where the concert is!

BTW I'm loving the PQ/AQ on this. Can't wait for the Girls Aloud showing in August.
