i want to trade my hd dvd ep30 and my 45 hd dvds for a onkyo 507 av reciever.the onkyo 507 in richer sounds is selling at £250 at the moment. so thinking that a second hand one would be less than £200.is my ep30 and 45 hdvds a fair swap for the onkyo.or am i over estimating the value of my player and films

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

If you can get a swap, and it suits both of you then do it. It's hard for someone on the outside to say if it's worth it or not.

If you already have a friend or someone like that in mind for the trade it will be made very obvious to you whether or not you need to adjust .Likewise, if you advertise in the classifieds here and someone is seriously interested in a swop,then they will immediately inform you whether or not you are over optimistic.

depends on what the films are

the Ep30 seems to sell around the 50 - 80 pounds mark at the moment.

Maybe looking on EBAY will give you the roundabout info you seek as there are always ep30 + HD DVD bundles for sale from time to time. If they are not the uber rare import films, then I personally would say you would struggle to reach the top end of £250, and may be looking at 150 - 200

Put an ad in the classifieds here and name your top price you are willing to take. If no one meets it you don't have to sell it. Its free, so what have you got to lose
