While glancing lovingly over my collection, this morning,I noticed ,for the first time,that while every HD DVD has a wine(dark red) coloured plastic cover,Black rain(Michael Douglas) is the only one of my collection that has a different colour i.e. blackHas this been noticed and commented by others and is it the only HD DVD to be released looking different from all the others? I only noticed as the sun was so bright in the room.This discovery,naturally, put me off my stride for the rest of the day.I'm only now regaining my sang-froid. Any advice

Mine's the standard maroon/red colour.

H'mm.I Bought it as a used disc from 2nd spin.com about 9 months ago but I haven't played it yet.Might give it a spin soon.I assumed it was a US disc but it has a fat cover.Odd

Looks like someone gave you a normal dvd case, I've not seen a black, or come to that any colour, except red, HD-DVD case.

Great looking disc this is, wipes the floor with the dvd.

only seen Black rain in a Slim Red case with Printed HD-DVD with snap tag on side, i have this disc Dam good Pq and sound was impressed when i watched it

Black case do exist. I think they are mainly for PS3 games.

Besides the green case for Hulk, I saw lots of empty BD size clear cases piling up to fill the empty space behind Bluray movies in my local store but not for sale or use.

Funny you only notice your case is black when the sun was so bright in the room. You must be living in a batcave.

Yes, it seems to be one of those cases.Pity! I thought it might be a "one off" and worth a fortune in the future ...like the incredibly expensive and much sought after "Penny Black" stamp.
As far as the lighting arrangements in my home are concerned,it's easy not to notice small details when you have almost 200 HD DVDs,although I must have been half asleep the day I received this disc in the post and not spot the difference
