Hd d1 player help needed

HI All

I have just updated the player from version 2.1 to 4.9 as i was getting on certain discs moments where the film froze and i had to pull out the plug as nothing worked.

Well i was watching Evan Almighty and again when i pressed FF the screen froze, and no matter what button i pressed nothing happened.

In the end this code came up 409FC117

Anyone know what it means ? as the player wont do anything now except display this code

Many thanks inadvance for any help

Matt

i had a Problem Evan Almighty disc (Aus version) i got a replacement , well bought a second one and that runs fine..

you could try an initialize of player , this is in player setup.. (this resets the player)

also when you say the code is displayed all the time is this when you start player or discs inserted?

hi

thanks for posting, in answer to your question, it is once the disc is inserted and tries to play..

it is now doing it on all HD discs i play, it is weird cos the Evan disc was playing fine until i tried to FFwd it, once it froze it seems to have messed up the player..
I will do a re set as you suggested..

Many thanks

Matt

Re: Hd d1 player help needed

THANKS namuk,

i followed the link burned the ISo file, and run an update,

What is confusing is the BOX says my player is a HDA1, but the dvd player says HD D1, i downloaded the HDa1 file and pushed the output Vid button on remote i got the screen display back up and i updated the firmware..

So it all seems to be fine, i ran Apollo13 through it just to make sure, and i FFwd it skipped bits and it is all working...

thanks again for the help..

I am now running version 4, i was prev running 2.3

Matt

Re: Hd d1 player help needed

Nice one i am Glad your working now , i was thinking the worst for your player but you no what it is like on Forums , hard to sort Hardware sometimes ..

i did get confused the same with Player numbers as you did , stig said A1 and you said D1 , one reason i posted that above link (us) But the firmwares are global i no this, but that link is direct to your players mentioned (best way), only thing to note if you want the Region free dvd firmware i.e downgrade firmware then update the firmware you used, i am not sure if you need the uk one or US one (never risked it with Xe1 i just got Uk Rf version Due to Warranty one reason i never looked into it) .. if you need this post here ok .. unless Viking of Kf can post and say other wise..(will pm)

if not can be sorted no problem

Also if you look under player were Serial is your Model should be there if not you could Google serial number

Re: Hd d1 player help needed

mine is region free, i bought mine from the USA DVD USA

i know it can be a pain trying to help out on a forum, i helpo a lot of people on a US forum for model helicopters it is hard to diagnose a problem without actually being there, but i am happy we managed it!

the A1 was the first HD player to come out, back in 2006 i went to PJHIFI and saw a demo of this player along with the Sony Pearl, i cannot believe how things have moved on 3 years,

Thanks again for your help

Matt
