Getting back into HD-DVD so which player should I choose?

So I used to have an XE-1 which I was very happy with, and then when I moved to the US last year I got rid of all my kit, but having moved back now I am building it up again. I am using a Denon 2309 and a Panny S10 1080p Plasma amongst other things. I also have my HD-DVD collection sat looking at me, and would love to be able to play them again - and so my question is what should I look for in the Classifieds? Is there much price difference and worthwhile step up/down in quality of PQ and AQ with an EP35 or EP 30 compared to an XE-1 for example, or should I now be looking at something else (if there is anything else?). Thank you.

Not much else avaliable TBH...

I'd go for the XE1 if you can, better player IMHO than the EP35.

you'll find the XE-1 is quite hard to source and fetching alot more than the EP-35 on ebay it is a better machine by far but hard to get one now

Cheers guys - so what makes it a better player than the 35? Is it AQ or PQ, or something else? Thx.

Better upscaler of dvd, better build. It was able to claim to be a more stable player but after the last firmware upgrades (4.0) to the EP30 and EP35, I think that is no longer an issue. No diff. in HD quality between these players afaik.
