ep 30 - very strange fault, ideas?

Hi,

have a strange fault, the disc tray keeps opening and closing, a couple of times then stays open. With or without a disc it does this. I manual push 'close' it closes then opens again and stays open. Basically not enabling the 'loading' function to work. If I switch it to standby, it leaves the tray open and I have to phisically push it closed. I have tried going into 'maintanence' and done 'initialize'. Any ideas?

cheers

I would have taken out the drive and opened it. See if there is some small piece stuck in there making the tray not close properly. In that case it would open again automatically.

thanks, bought on here a while back for 70 quid, so no big deal, although I bought 20 film and only watched 3 lol.

does no harm to take a look, if I can fix it, then I will just have to go back to the 'for sale' and get another one
