This is driving me nuts.
I've had the Toshiba HD-EP10 connected over HDMI to a Philips 32PFL7332 for over a year now. Always worked fine.
Recently, I added a HTPC over the other HDMI connection (the Philips has two) with audio over the SP/DIF. While meddling with the PC's settings to get 1:1 pixel mapping (no dice, it's still 1280x720) I've upgraded the TV's firmware to the latest version. (Which is supposed to have better handling of the digital inputs).
Somewhere along the line my Toshiba decided not to play along anymore. I can't get it to display a picture over HDMI anymore. The inconclusive list of what I've tried sofar:
* Upgraded the Toshiba's firmware to 4.0 via its ethernet connection (it was still on 1.0, but that used to work fine)
* Switched HDMI cables, tried the other input, unplugged all other inputs
* Turning on TV and setting to proper HDMI input before turning on the Toshiba
* Resetting the Toshiba
* Unplugging the Toshiba for half an hour, then switching on TV, then Toshiba again
So far, nothing. Annoyingly I do get a picture if I plug in a composite cable, but that's SD and poor quality at that... what am I missing here?
I'd downgrade the TV's firmware as it's the only thing I can think of, but can't get hold of the older firmwares anywhere either
