Help needed - Lip sync problem with ep30

I recently got hold of an ep30 from these forums to replace my noisey 360 hd drive. Upon recieving the player during the week I firstly cross flashed it with ep35 firmware and then updated it to ver 4 as it was on ver 2. All went well and am very pleased with the image quality on 1080i. However there does seem to be some issue with the lip sync on both hd and sd dvds. Ive tried messing about with the delay on the amp but still no joy.

Does anyone know if it is a known issue? Iam using the player with an infocus 7205 projector and optical cable to a denon amp which has no hdmi.

Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers

Re: Help needed - Lip sync problem with ep30

I just want to bump this question as I'm having hte same issue.

I mainly watch SD dvds on it and have been noticing that the lip synching on it is out too. Sometimes more often than others, and it can get quite distracting.

I'm guessing that it might be something to do with the short time it takes to process the upscaling causes the delay as for some reason the audio isn't delayed with the image?

Regardless, does anyone know a fix? There is no audio delay option on the DVD player setup menu to play around there, so not sure what to do.

Re: hi

What picture output do you have set, i had problems with some sd dvd's when the output was set to 1080p/24p it seemed to judder a bit and cause these issues. However changing to std 1080p resolved most issues.
Im not sure whether sd dvd's are released with 25fps encodings and then the player tries to convert this down to 24fps.
