Toshiba HD DVD EP 10 how to make multizone

Can anyone tell me how to get my Toshiba HD DVD EP 10 from region 4 to

multizone? It has update 2.8 already

A friend of mine has just gotten an EP10. Am I right in thinking to make it multiregion you just need to download:
HD-EP10 KTE Europe - Windows Live

And run the disc. Then do you source the latest firmware and run that after so the player is up to date..? What was the final EP10 firmware?

I have an EP30 so am used to the dirty firmware method.
