AVForums display review Requests

Not all requests will be covered due to time and sourcing of Samples, however we will do our best to cover the most requested items.

Which LCD TVs would you like AVForums review staff to cover on the site? Please leave your requested model, screen size and make below.

We will do our best to cover at least one screen size from a models run, but we cannot promise to cover every display requested due to time and sourcing samples. So fire away, I will keep an eye on what are the most popular requests!

Re: AVForums display review Requests

Would be nice to have the power consumption figures added to the reviews. Especially in the case of the B6000, and the WE5 if it gets reviewed. Both are meant to go easy on the electric.

Re: AVForums display review Requests

Excellent idea to make review requests!

Certainly one of the Sony KDL-WE5 series is worthy of a review(either 40" or 46")

Re: AVForums display review Requests

I'm in the market for a top end 37" LCD but there have been very few reviews for this years models so far. Any of the following would be great...

Sony KDL-37W5500
Panasonic TX-L37V10
Philips 37PFL9604 or 8404

Cheers

Re: AVForums display review Requests

I would really like to see a review of the Toshiba AV635. Not so much because of Resolution+ but because I noticed at work today that it has a full 3D CMS and proper greyscale controls (high and low, rather than just RGB as on some previous models). It's also incredibly cheap and Toshiba traditionally have great deinterlacing.

Re: AVForums display review Requests

After all of the positive comments on the previous model from owners on here i would like to see a review of the new Wharfedale LCD that is available from Argos, either the 42" or 46" model.

I dont know the model number im afraid, its not stated on the site but from everyones previous comments i would be interested to see what the pros think of it.

Re: AVForums display review Requests

I'd like to see the Panasonic V10 LCD reviewed as well if that's possible, I'm desperate to hear about the black level performance from an expert as I can't seem to find one near me at all, but it looks like it is better than the G10. So yea, V10 LCD, any size, 32" or 37", but that's what I'd like to see

Another vote for z4500 46". And because this TV is said to be good pick for gamers, an input lag test would also be nice.

Wow what a coincidence- my boyfriend and I have been eyeing up both the Sony 's!! z4500 and Bravia 40V5500 in 40" so reviewing either of these would be awesome for me...

Thanks for the Toshiba review.

Next request is actually for the Z5500. Just coming out now, it would be nice to get a nice objective review of this in early.

Re: AVForums display review Requests

Just sprang to mind! The Panasonic L42S10, it would be interesting to see if Panasonic have made a good TV with a change of panel (unless it's the same as in their 26" model/last years 32LXD80?)

Anything by Philips, really... there seems to be a shortage of reviews for it, and given I'm wondering if I should plunge into a 42pfl9664H or wait for the 42pfl9803H, it would be extremely welcome

Cool Re: AVForums display review Requests

a reivew of the Samsung LE40B550A5 40" LCD.

OR, the Samsung LE37B550A5W 37" LCD.

Both are ~£600 1080p units and there are no reviews online at all.

Could you please do a review of the Toshiba 47zv635DB?

I'm seriously thinking about getting one, and would like to get as much information from as many reviews I can before buying one.

Thanks in advance.

The Samsung UE40B8000 LED TV

I've only seen one nay-sayer on Samsung LED's (on here no less!) and everyone else seems to be super positive about Samsung's efforts. It'd be great to see a real test of their (for now at least) top-of-the-range LED TV. Are Samsung good with giving their TVs up for review?

I'd really like to see a review of the LG SL8000 and/or SL9000, the SL8000 had a positive review from trusted reviews, saying that they even impress a lot in black level response, which is where LG normally fall, it would be good to get the impressions of a pro, and to see the data.

Re: AVForums display review Requests

Id definitely second the SL8000.

LG really seem to have taken their game up a notch with this TV, and early looks suggest its a very well rounded tv. Black level, sound, performace. However the 200Hz definitely needs looking into.
