safe to buy memory stick pro duos from ebay?

When I used to tamper with my psp there was a lot of talk about fake memory sticks on ebay. My mate actually got three fake 4gb memory sticks from ebay.

I just checked ebay to see what the prices are these days and notice I could get a 4gb sony pro duo for around £20. Thats cheap I remember paying £80 for a 2gb about 2 years ago. So is it safe to buy them now from ebay now.

you pays your money you take your chance, if your unsure, I think you are as you posted in here as a rule of thumb you get what you pay for so for peace of mind buy from a named known store/source.

I have bought one or two off ebay without any problems but they have all been fakes.

many eBay fakes that 'function', often dont have the capacity they are labeled as having. also, you may find they will corrupt and fail within 6 months.

its just not worth all the crap, (plus encouraging dishonest traders) just to save a few pounds.

I've got a couple of the fake 4Gb ones of Ebay as well as a Genuine rip-off Sony one. Other than slight diffferences in the packaging they function the same. No differences in speed that i can tell of

I've bought them off Ebay, I always choose the seller with the best ratings, not necessarily the seller with the lowest price. Its not a good deal if the item is junk
