SSD testing

Hi!

Just received my first SSD today. A Samsung 830 64GB one.

Are there any tests I can do with it before I actually use it? [its going into my acer Revo 3700 to run XBMC!]

Use the Samsung magician software, all you really need is in there!

You can also use the AS SSD Benchmark to assess the performance.

Tried the magician software and it wouldn't recognise it

[yes, plugged in via SATA]

So plonked it in the Revo:

Installed the latest frodo openelec beta and boy does it shift! Less than 15 seconds to boot. Hasn't glitched or crashed and shuts down in seconds.

Love it!
