Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

Hi all,

Just started playing Team Swat and I'm really liking it at the moment.

However I have my controller set to 3 which is default, I am quite accurate with this setting and get a fair number of kills in both Team Slayer and Team Swat.

The downside however is the slow turning speed, is it worth swapping to 4 or more and readjusting or just sticking with 3.

Just wondered what other players used?

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

For SWAT I find that 4 works best for me, and I sometimes change to 5 depending on the size of the map (something like Cold SWATage where it's quite close quarters, I use 5).

I tend to find 4 works OK in Slayer, but sometimes I drop it down to 3 to stabilise my BR a bit more.

3. and I r@p3

4 or 5 can make Swat easier but I found it just too hard to get used too. Of course I trust you are already using Bumper Jumper?

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

1. And I r@p3 sometimes...

I'm going to play the campaign on 3 to get used to it because close combat is hard when it takes 2 minutes to rotate 180' . BRing is fine though.

There isn't even a 1 option on the poll!

1! He must look like some sort of geriatric spartan when turning. That's crazy!

In fairness, one of the pro players generally regarded as having the best BR around plays on "1" sensitivity. I think it might be naded, but I can't remember now. Perhaps he's a bit worse at close combat, but his BR is so steady he doesn't miss a single bullet.

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

Im currently trying 4 after it was suggested, getting more kills in close combat for sure.

Long distance kills are working well however need some more practice at middle range.

My reaction kills are great but the more time I have to think about the worse I get.

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

I have mine on 6, maybe more i cant remember (I will check on Halo 3 in a min and come back and vote)

When i was playing alternate with a friend and i had it on 6 he was all over the place as has it on 3 i think

I always have a higher than normal sensitivity (often max sensitivity on games) as when i want to turn, i actually want to turn at a decent pace that will suit my decent reaction times

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

I have just checked and my sensitivity is on 6 (may be something to do with it being my favourite number as well)
but as above Ihave played with higher and been fine

My vote has now been correctly cast

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

i use 7 (voted earlier), used to be on 8, but after one of my long lay offs from the game, i slowed it down a bit
I play a lot of LW so need to spin and nade quickly

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

I am the person who voted 10. Never even considered it would affect my BR steadiness, I mainly love it for quickly adjusting angles when throwing grenades against walls etc. I guess I occasionally missed easy kills in CQC, particularly on maps that are open in nature so have less geometrical reference points.

If that makes any sense.

May try lowering it for the forthcoming ODST festivities.

I used to play Halo 2 on seven, but have found three works best for me on Halo 3.

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

I swtiched back to 3 from trying 4 and got 30 kills

Still going to give 4 a go though, I am bound to get more kills with 3 at the moment as that is what I have always played with.

Does anyone else think its weird doing reaction kills on Halo?

You will see someone in the distance then you instantly react and they are dead and you think oh I did that, its like driving or something just automatic, I've done some crackers.

I think my eyes would melt and my brain would fall out of head if I tried to play on ten.

Re: Controller sensitivity ( your preference)

I've played ODST entirely on 3 now to try and recondition myself. Whilst getting the skulls I picked up a BR and felt like I was able to aim stupidly fast, I really didn't like it. I tried strafe jumping and couldn't keep head height with my shots at all. No more 4 shots for a while it seems...
