Halo 3: ODST - Play & Help Thread

Hi all,

Seeing as some people are getting 'Game has been despatched' notifications, thought I'd open up a Play & Help Thread ~~before anyone else does~~ as people might be playing this in the next day or two

Here's hoping for Saturday delivery.

I had my money on JPG actually.....didn't want to post it too early as I've seen threads get deleted for being open way before the game is out.

Well, gotta say WOW OMG ITS AWESOME

Well obviously I'm slightly biased but it IS the best looking fps on the console market with a distinctive visual style and buckets of atmosphere. The opening scene and all cut-scenes are aimed at throwing you into the story head on so you do believe you are ODST

The sound is fantastic too- the 5.1 is really immersive and I think theyve tweaked some of the gunfire sounds too which is great as it just works. One of the coolest things is you keep forgetting that whilst the odst troopers ar nails, theyre not spartans so you need to be careful about how you approach enemies as even on normal setting parts can be challenging.

Sorry for the rambling but my brains are fried from all this odst goodness

houdini 7 on the preview thread has just posted that his copy arrived this morning- he also ordered from the hut

Im gonna have to wait and play it in co-op. Im too much of a noob, I keep getting slaughtered. I havent managed to get through an area stealthily yet

Hope so mate....I'm starting to lose the plot here......being realistic for a moment, Monday delivery would still be very very good, and still a day before the official release date........it's just........well, you know

I recieved my dispatch note yesterday from shopto, saying it'll be here today! The postman walked past my house empty handed, I actually cried

bring on the postal reforms is what I say!

That's the worst feeling isn't it???!?!? Royal Mail don't do disastrous evenings, but if they did, they'd probably be the most disastrous evenings in the world.

Isn't royal mail's fault mate, shopto aren't actually posting them until today. You should have had an email saying saturday despatch.
