The file share is such a great idea. It perfectly compliments the Theatre and allows you to show the world some of the truly awesome things that can happen in Halo. Every time I enter a lobby I go through everyone's file share, looking for something funny or impressive.

It's disappointing that most of the time I find either an empty file share or one full of the same stolen screenshots that everyone has seen a dozen times. Why waste your file share filling it with junk saying 'put this on if you liek snipez' etc. No-one cares. Why put the well known funny screenshots in your share as well, everyone has already seen them.

Generic file shares belong to generic people, be original .

My mate Evo has some great clips. He doesn't really care about making clips showing how awesome he is, he just edits little moments where unusual, amusing, or totally unexpected stuff happened. V amusing (not so many screenshots, though - more clips).

I can't even remember what I have in mine now. Definitely nothing anyone else made - I don't see the point! It's all my stuff, good or bad.

I wish there was a quick render option for videos. Having to download them then go to theatre, wait for the map to load, wait for the countdown and then watch a 15 second clip is hardly worth it. You should be able to stream a youtube quality version without having to go to the file share that just gives you a normal 2D video rather than a theatre camera enabled one.

When ODST comes out and people get back into the game we should have a screenshot thread/competition.

There's a good story behind that screenshot, too! I was playing co-op campaign with PurpleSteve (mostly found in the Trials HD thread these days) and another guy very late one night. Garion, as PurpleSteve was known back then, discovered he could hide in the bins. His over-enthusiastic Scottish amazement, couple with his silly little alien face sticking out of the bin, meant that I damn near gave myself a hernia laughing when he stuck the other guy and ducked back into hiding.

You probably had to be there, but honestly, I don't think I could say a word for about ten minutes.
