Players needed for Halo 3 Top Gun Masters on gamebattles.com

Hi all,

I've created an official Halo 3 'Top Gun Masters' team on gamebattles.com, where we can arrange to play games, in a competitive (but hopefully fun) manner, against other 'clans' that are registered on the site.

Anyone that would like to get involved will need to register for a gamebattles account (quick, easy and free) so that you can become an official member on the roster.

Not sure what sort of response this will get, and I know it'll probably get some interesting replies from Dazza (TG J3ST3R), but anyone who would like to join the team just let me know. There won't be any stupid trials or anything to join the team - it'll be for fun, and hopefully we can get a few wins under our belt.

EDIT: Once you've registed on gamebattles.com, let me know your username and I'll send you an invite to join the team.

Do you need to have the Mythic Map pack for this? I'd be interested in joining but won't be getting the maps until I get ODST.

It's been a while since I played Halo 3 properly, should really try and get a few games in.

EEC GRAY, Co-Leader, can perform all team management functions.

M4V3RICK, Captain, can Challenge and report losses.
Sordid, Captain, can challenge and report losses.

Now, just to stress something - there are no ranks/seniority in this team. I've assigned players to certain roles with the view that matches can be arranged/played even if I'm not online. As a rule of thumb at least one of the above will be online at the 'peak' times, so that if there's 3 or 4 online then matches can still be arranged.

If you guys who've been given the above roles would rather not take that position then just let me know

Right guys, we've got a very healthy looking squad now, with a couple more players still to register/join.

So, shall we get down to the serious business of playing a match/some matches? There's a couple of ways we can do things;

1) We can simply search against a particular date and see what teams are available.

or

2) We can make some direct challenges to teams, again offering a preferred date and time.

I personally reckon we should just throw the gauntlet down to a few teams and see if anyone fancies their chances. With this in mind, can you guys post here (or send me a PM if you like) the dates and times you're likely to be available this week? It looks as though most matches are based on a 'Best of 3' basis, so shouldn't last much longer than say 30 mins.

Once some dates/times are confirmed I'll send out some challenges for them times and see what comes back.

Am not about tonight, though. My usual hours of play are 6pm-10pm (so I won't go for any start times after 9.30pm).

Time: 8.00pm start

Players: 4v4

I can make this Wednesday, and looking at Billy's response he will be around as well. Need three more players (two to play, one on standby incase others don't make it) please...let me know

EDIT: I've also directly challenged a team called 'Trapped in Greatness':

Date: Thursday 11th June (this Thursday)
Time: 8.00pm start
Games: 3
Players: 4v4

Not yet. The first date (Wednesday) I've just posted a 'Create Match' type thing, so that any team that searches that date can play us if they want to. The second date (Thursday) has not been confirmed by the other team yet...as soon as I have any updates I'll post on here
