Does anyone ever use PC-Plasma via component?

As title says, does anyone ever use PC-Plasma via component?

Have posted elswhere but yet to get answers, my Samsung plasma aparently does not accept PC video via HDMI, so was considering a ATI 3850 with the ability to output via component.

What outputs does your current graphics card have as there are plenty of dvi to component adaptors on the market for less than £10 which is a lot cheaper than a new graphics card.

Re: Does anyone ever use PC-Plasma via component?

Got 6600GT but its packed up, will run in VGA but as soon as anything accelerated is done screen breaks up. DVI is to monitor, D sub is to plasma.

I would like to use HDMI but component would be a nice back up.

I was reading up about DVI-Componaet adaptors and it appears there are loads of different types/colours for various cards?

So a new GFX card would be nice (if only to play Bioshock) and the ATI cards seem to offer lots of connectivity options.

Re: Does anyone ever use PC-Plasma via component?

Just to wrap this thread up.
I ended up with ATI 3850 GFX card with VGA, DVI, Component, SVHS, Composite and HDMI, so basically pretty much most options you could need. I always used to use VGA to plasma but was unhappy with the tearing on video and distorted image due to resolution but liked the clarity.
I now use component, best comparison is SVHS but better, can use proper widescreen resolution ie 720p/1080i but its not quite as sharp as VGA. HDMI might be the best of both worlds but yet to get a HDMI cable.
