Divx video files on LCD montitors question

I have just gone from a 4 year old phillips 17 inch CRT to a samsung pebble SM2032bw with the resolution set to 1680x1050 and i am just wondering if this is a problem with my monitor or all High res LCD monitors.

Basically all my my divx/xvid files which looked fine on my old monitor really don't look good on my new one. The colours looked washed and the pcture quality is not good at all.

I know from HD tv's that standard defintion picture does not look as good as it does on CRT tv's.

Just wondering if the samsung is just bad at handling lower res video which would be a problem.

Re: Divx video files on LCD montitors question

Think i solved the problem, seems to be a problem with vlc media player and a codec.
