HP w2207: How to remove the GRAY frame?

Hello Folks,

Has anyone removed the gray frame on HP w2207?

I painted the the stand to black and I would like to remove this gray frame also (doesnt matter if the power/adjustment buttoms are sticking out).

Do you have any suggestions?
