GFX Card for twin Monitor setup

I'm looking a GFX card to run 2 monitors.

1 - 24" Widescreen @ 1900x1200
2 - 19" @ 1280x1024

I may well do a little gaming and Blu-ray watching on the larger monitor but the main use will be for CAD.

Budget - was hoping about £50-60

Thanks in advance.

Re: GFX Card for twin Monitor setup

For that price bracket the 4670 is probably the best value card, but a quick google search shows that some people have had problems with dual monitors so I'd check that before buying.

Re: GFX Card for twin Monitor setup

The bigger screen resolution will need a bit more grunt to run, I'd be tempted to put a bid in for a second hand 8800GT - had a quick look on ebay and there are quite a few on there, just amke sure you get the 512mb version.

With a bit of luck you could get one for £60

Re: GFX Card for twin Monitor setup

Is the amount of onboard RAM the main consideration for this - I've seen a few card with 1gb on board and thought it would be overkill for my needs, might be worth looking into to be on the safe side...

Re: GFX Card for twin Monitor setup

not really - video memory of that size (and 1 GB to 256mb is like a F1 car compared to a normal car when you only want to go to the shop.)

256mb - 512mb is more than enough unless you are playing some heavy duty games at high res. (even 512mb is a bit much really)
