Will VGA cable from my laptop to LDC TV Carry Sound

I recently bought the ACER Aspire 5920 in the sale, the Laptop is apparently doe not have "TV Out", however I was duly informed by a member of staff that as long as the TV has a VGA port the two will connect fine. I am wanting to watch TV catch up from BBC iPlayer etc. Will the VGA cable also carry sound??

no it wont, you'll need a seperate cable for audio. Normally a mini jack to twin phono.

As un1eash states no it won't, BUT normally you will need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio cable, check the TV end as it is normally 3.5mm.
PC will be 3.5mm.

i can confirm it won't. So the audio out from the 3.5mm computer audio socket is the way to go.
