Pretty much any cheap amd graphics card can output to three monitors but what sort of connection you can use is going to be limited by the card so you will have to bare that in mind

That's not true.

Pretty much any cheap AMD graphics chip supports three monitors but that's no guarantee that the card as a whole will do and many at £50-70 will only support two.

AMD's solution typically also requires that one of the three monitors be connected using DisplayPort so if you've bought the monitors already that may be a bigger barrier.

On the nVidia side the recently released GT 640 supports three monitors but it's so new the information about whether there's any particular combination of ports required for that is proving tricky to find. A low profile version of it may also be difficult to get at this point.

And from Matrox I don't think any of their 3/4 monitor cards are below £150.

we had found the ASUS EAH5570 but that is proving difficult to source.

at the moment i am running 2 monitors from the graphics card and 1 from onboard graphics but this is proving a problem for the cctv software i use as it can not cope with that particular configuration.

For 3xDVI monitors, the best bet I've found is the Sapphire flex 6450 card, IIRC it sells for around the £40 mark. These can be set up either as an eyefinity group or as an extended desktop.
